Overview

Tyler C. Schaeffer is a seasoned litigator with deep experience in complex civil and commercial litigation. He focuses on prosecuting and defending business torts and contract disputes, and brings extensive knowledge to cases involving shareholder disputes, employment agreements, bankruptcy, real estate, and consumer protection. Tyler represents clients in both state and federal courts, guiding businesses through high-stakes disputes with clarity and confidence.

Tyler’s approach is collaborative and client-focused, serving as a trusted partner who helps businesses navigate litigation efficiently and strategically. His goal is simple: resolve business problems effectively while aligning with each client’s objectives.

Beyond trial work, Tyler offers significant appellate experience, having clerked for judges on both the Missouri Supreme Court and the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District. His skill and dedication have earned him recognition as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers®, inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation, and designation as an Up & Coming Lawyer by Missouri Lawyers Weekly.

A St. Louis native, Tyler earned his J.D. and B.S. in Finance and Banking, magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri – Columbia.  As a law student, Tyler graduated in the top 15% of his class, was included on the Dean’s List all semesters, and served as a published member of the Missouri Law Review.
