Meghan M. Lamping concentrates her practice in the area of Business Litigation and Trust and Estates Litigation.

Meghan represents business owners and individuals, including plaintiffs and defendants, commercial, contract, shareholder disputes and more. She also is involved with probate litigation and conservator cases as well as represents clients in litigation matters involving:

  • Trusts and estates
  • Powers of attorney
  • Beneficiary designations
  • Breaches of fiduciary or trustee duties
  • Trust termination or modification
  • Elder abuse
  • Guardianships (adults and minors)
  • Conservatorships (adults and minors)
  • No-contest disputes
  • Undue influence
  • Discovery of assets and accountings

In addition to her successful trial experience, she has been involved in numerous mediations and arbitration proceedings that have been resolved favorably for clients and was part of a team that successfully represented multiple defendants in a civil action where plaintiffs sought to recover over $350 million in a dispute concerning indemnification provisions in a stock sale agreement.

Prior to joining Carmody MacDonald, Meghan worked in the St. Louis County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney as a legal intern. She also served as a law clerk for a St. Louis-based law firm and an intern for the Missouri State Public Defender's Office in the Youth Advocacy Unit. While in law school, Meghan served as a Judicial Extern for U.S. Magistrate Judge David Noce in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri. There she participated in creating various judicial opinions and analyzing and summarizing attorney memoranda and briefs.

Meghan was named a “Rising Star” for three consecutive years by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers magazine. In addition to her professional membership activities, she is a member St. Louis chapter of the University of Denver Alumni Association and the Outreach Committee of the Central Institute for the Deaf.

A native of Colorado, Meghan earned her J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law, which included a summer at St. Louis University School of Law in Madrid, Spain. During law school, she received a Dean’s scholarship, an academic excellence award and was an Irvin and Maggie Dagen Public Interest Fellowship Recipient. She earned her B.A. from the University of Denver, where she was on the Dean’s list and received a Chancellor’s Scholarship.
