Elizabeth Barrett joined Carmody MacDonald as an associate in 2016 and focuses her practice in the areas of banking, real estate, corporate, and business law.
Elizabeth has experience representing financial institutions and other lenders in complex commercial loans and secured transactions, and other clients in real estate acquisition, development and zoning matters. Elizabeth also has experience in general business governance and estate planning matters.
While in law school, Elizabeth was a clerk with the United States Attorney's Office in Jefferson City and the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, Criminal Division, also in Jefferson City. Additionally, she served as a Legal Extern for the Department of Veteran Affairs Regional Counsel located in St. Louis. Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University with a degree in Political Science, magna cum laude and certificates in Legal Studies and Leadership Development.
Elizabeth is a 2014 graduate of University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, where she was a senior associate of the Journal of Dispute Resolution, President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Organization, and member of the Moot Court Team.
