Cary J. Mogerman, a shareholder of Carmody MacDonald P.C. in St. Louis, was installed as First Vice-President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) on November 8, 2019, during its annual meeting in Chicago. In 2022, he will become the organization’s president.

Mogerman’s practice focuses on complex dissolution of marriage matters involving substantial assets, business interests, professional practices, complex executive compensation from private or public companies, child custody, maintenance and spousal support, and related appellate practice in family law. He moved his practice to Carmody MacDonald early last year.

He became a member of the executive committee of the Academy in 2012, serving two years as Treasurer and thereafter as one of its Second Vice-Presidents. Mogerman is also one of only 100 Diplomates of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers and Missouri’s only Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers. In 2018, he was one of two attorneys recognized as the AAML’s ‘Fellows of the Year.’
