John E. "Jack" Hilton, a founding principal of the firm, has been in private practice since 1975. His areas of concentration include civil litigation and construction law, and he holds primary responsibility for the firm's appellate practice. He also advises clients on bankruptcy matters from the creditor's perspective.
Jack was recognized for his appellate skills by Missouri Lawyers Weekly for his successful advocacy in one of the "Ten Most Important Decisions" rendered by the Missouri Court of Appeals in 2001. His breadth of appellate experience has involved a wide range of complex and challenging issues in many areas of civil, commercial and domestic relations law.
Jack is admitted to practice before state and federal courts in Missouri and has been involved in litigation in other states on a case-specific basis. He has served on committees for both the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Missouri Bar Association.
